On the paths of the hippies
To escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok we make our journey to Sumatra, Indonesia. Our goal at Lake Toba leads us to a 5 1/2-hour-ride in a hot, immeasurably crowded public bus from Medan to Parapat. The ferry takes us directly to the paradise island of Pulau
Samosir. The volcanic lake was in the 60s and 70s a popular destination for hippies who found here on the former South East Asia route. Therefore be found on the menu also still magic mushrooms. The perfect place to relax for a few days and explore the island by motorbike.
