Mekong Delta

After a tiring journey by public bus from Mui Ne via Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long we reach the Mekong Delta in northern Vietnam. Life is played out completely on the river and their many estuaries and islands. We stayed for 3 days by a Vietnamese family which has little knowledge of English but a huge hospitality and the

willing to show us their way of life. In the kitchen we helped in the preparation of spring rolls and a pumpkin soup which was very instructive. A boat trip on the Mekong shows us the Floating Market and the many ships transporting goods every day on the river. A wonderful conclusion before our journey continues on to Cambodia.
