The North of Cambodia

The trip from Siem Reap takes us to the north of Cambodia. Via Kampung Cham we took the bus to Kratie where we could watch the activity of river dolphins and the local life on the Discovery Trail by bike. In a crowded minivan (14 seats /24 people) we drove to the northern border to Bandung. With Michael, Sven and Angela, who we met in Kratie we started a 2 day jungle trek, where we needed to traverse deep

rivers full of leeches during heavy rain to find our way to the endlessness of the jungle. We slept in hammocks next to a waterfall and the food was cooked in bamboo directly on the fire – pure adventure. On the return path we crossed rice fields and small villages and learned a lot about the culture and the work of the people here. Besides the 11 leeches which I had it on my legs it was an amazing trip!
