On the road
On our trip from Sydney to Brisbane we met wonderful, creative and crazy people with whom we Gipsy-like were moving from place to place. Arrived in car parks, beaches, motorway service stations and truck depots we made the road to our home. The main focus for all of us was surfing, so we were always on the lookout for the best swell and good breaks. The highlight we found in Evans Head where at a surf session in the morning we were accompanied by dolphins and where we were able to watch whales in the evening. Overall, I
discovered here many unknown animals, some of which amused me and others who were pretty scary. A stopover in the inland we set in Nimbin – Disneyland for old hippies and friends of the green herb. So we camped on Granny’s farm with chickens, horses, dogs, and what the barn else had to offer and, of course, turned night into day, until we fell asleep at an early stage. More touristy it was around Byron Bay and so we stopped our East Coast trip in Brisbane to explore the southern coast of Australia to Melbourne.
