Phnom Penh to Koh Ta Kiev

After crossing the border from Vietnam to Cambodia by boat, we reached Phnom Penh after 7 hours drive. The city tells with the Killing Fields and the S-21 prison, the cruel and sad past of Cambodia. The journey continued to Sihanoukville in southern Cambodia, from where we took the boat to the island of Koh Ta Kiev. Here we found the perfect

place to relax, to read and write diary. The small bungalows, which have all been built by Joel in the last 5 years, radiate the peace and serenity of the island. Here we also visited a small fishing village on the other side of the island. The people here still live a traditional fisherman’s life and love karaoke more than anything else.
