The silk town of Hội An

The pretty little harbor town of Hoi An was once the largest harbor in Southeast Asia and is considered as a port of the Silk Road. The Old Town is especially nice to stroll through the small interwoven streets to discover all the hidden restaurants and cafes or to watch the haggling in the market. Tailor-made clothing is obtained at every turn and the

businesslike shop owners speak to the people passing by in minute intervals. As night falls the city enlightened with hundreds of lights and lanterns and you can enjoy the cheap Vietnamese beer in one of the many bars. So hectic the small town can sometimes be so relaxing is the closeby beach with a view into the endless expanse of the South China Sea.
